I see that several people are signed in again, like Jeff, Matt, Tamara etc. How are you guys doing in the new year?
I'm still quite busy (understatement) with the new location for the Buddhist center we bought in the Netherlands. It was an old hotel, and now we hope to use it as a basic-level conference center, or place to give workshops etc., with the Maitreya Instituut being the main user. We moved in half November last year, and the most gross building activities on the ground and 1st floor have just about finished now, but finishing everything nicely will still take a lot of time. Fortunate enough, we have a more or less fixed group of volunteers who all come several days a week, so we are plodding along. Besides the building and fixing things, there is a tremendous amount of work, as we now need to combine the old inventory of our previous center with the existing (pretty complete) inventory of the hotel; an interesting puzzle as every storage space is now filled to bursting. The only way to get a bit of space is starting to newly organize small things again, and sell or throw away excess stuff, and use the little bit of extra space to organize another little aspect. What a teaching in detachment and interdependence!
Love & clear light, Rudy
Sorry guys, there was a setting wrong in the admin, and I could not see that you could not post messages yet!

Hi Rudy and everyone!
I have missed you guys and hope that we can get this new board active again.
I felt terrible for all of the troubles Rudy had. I simply can't understand how someone would intentionally target this site in such a negative way.
As Rudy so elegantly put it, I hope that person does not experience the negative karma associated with it. Perhaps through purification...

Hello, I'm new here, a lifelong Great Perfection practitioner, and generally interested to see what the larger community of Buddhists-Bonpos are feeling! Looking forward to good dialogue/inquiry! Many blessings. Meru

As aware of being aware, so aware of being.
Since aware is always here, inseparable from empty absolute and empty relative, what changes?
Naturally, innately awake, presence oneSelf, just as this moment is, without cause or causeless pretense...
Self-recognizing unconditional goodness as space, all possible universes, all possible appearances in awareness…
Self-recognizing unconditional awareness, inseparable from all this, is thus absence and presence.
Where, when, why, how, who or what, is thus mere appearance.
No one is ignorant. All are fully awake in never-ending enlightenment.
The view unconditional goodness witnesses (the Dharmakaya of Dharmakaya), is simultaneously loving all the moment offers as oneSelf.
Since such love is totally indivisible, only one Heart of goodness shines within us all.
Only one presence is here, both you and I and all, as one.
Only one Nature encompasses all as one, and all.
Only one Awareness perceives all as one, and all.
Only one Heart loves and is, one and all.
Only one Clarity pervades, reflecting throughout emptiness.
Only one Goodness is the ground of being, and the peak of wisdom.
Only one Being forever lives as one and all, throughout one's Nature.
Thus you can be no other than That.
That Great Spirit, that God, that Oneness, that individual and omniscient wholeness, that Samantabhadra.

Hi everyone! Congratulations on the new forum, Rudy! I'm sorry about those offal hackers, and all the extra work they have caused you. Glad we can talk to all our friends again. Thanks for telling us about your move, that kind of thing is of great interest to me. Sounds like you will be very busy for a long time. It is great you have grown the membership to require and support a bigger place, though. Hooray Rudy!

Hey everybody!
For me, the sudden absence of the forum has had me thinking, of course, about impermanence. It also makes me think that so-called negative things like these are necessarily part of the whole deal. If not, we could live in a happy, samsaric utopia, getting everything we want all the time forever, eh?
Good to see some familiar names have returned and many new have shown up. Buddhists can be a quiet lot, though, huh?
Hopefully, not having my "hood ornament," I won't get all rampant ego.
Thanks for bringing it back so quickly, Rudy!
Hope everyone is well!
Prayer for cyberspace by Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse
Namo ākāśagarbhāya oṃ ārya kamari mauli svāhā
Oh bodhisattva mahasattva!
As I prostrate at your lotus feet, I offer everything I can name and understand, And all my mind’s conjurings, As well as everything that exists, inconceivable and undreamed of, Throughout immeasurable space.
To you, who are the very essence of space, I offer praise. Bless this cyber-space with comfort, bliss and enlightenment— May it be of benefit to myself and others. Unburden our misgivings; Purify all that sullies and despoils us, And the profligate displays, That throng and colour this space.

Really, that is a wonderful prayer. Thanks Dan. So I haven't found much time or need to write in the last couple of weeks. I am busy with a new course I have never taught before, and my day job, and I usually respond to what is already being talked about. It is nice to know I can, though. I feel like we have managed to forge some real friendships on this forum. And i am hoping that others we met along the way will show up, and I am sure there will always be new folks coming along as always. So busy, but otherwise relaxed and looking forward to what you all might say, or I might, you know....

Hi All... Although i seldom post I do follow much of the discussions and am learning much from them. i have been hearing how the Chinese have been hacking at almost all aspects of their adversaries at present. Perhaps that dark view is what has been causing Rudy and this wonderful site so much trouble, which i pray are in the past for good. Namaste

If you can't think of anything to say, just say, "Hi"

Once I'm approved I won't have tokeep being a guest. But I've been reading the forum history and I guess something bad happened in cyberspace. I'm sorry. This forum is very friendly. Most forums I've joined usually have people posting without answering. But here there is conversation. Thank you Rudy. I will visit the Buddhist Center in the Netherlands one day. My son has friends in the Netherlands and all over the world. I'll visit with my son. I include the Center in the Netherlands in my daily prayer. Best regards to you.
